RPMWEST: Specialty Japanese Selvedge Denim Launch

We wanted to take the time to follow up on our pair of Slim Straight denim that we reviewed in a prior post which can be found here. Although I personally have only worn these jeans a few times, mostly riding my motorcycle, I’m beginning to see the start of some honeycombing and wear in certain areas. I’m excited to see the markings as I wear them more often. I’ve taken a few images to highlight.

I actually prefer this pair of denim over 80% of my other pairs of raw denim because of the fit and comfort. The denim they seemed to use on the first runs were Nihon Menpu mill, in a sanforized red selvedge that clocks in at standard 13 Oz. I’ve been addicted to wearing these since the first few wears. I think these are absolutely perfect for the price point ($95.00) and the details can’t go un-noticed.

RPMWEST has just announced a launch of their Specialty Japanese Selvedge line on their kickstarter. Their Speciality denim is cut and sewn in California using made in USA copper rivets & button fly, tucked belt loops & clean chain stitched waistband. Reinforced back pocket & genuine leather patch also made in the USA.

Here is a selection of their newest japanese lineup. You may recognize Kaihara, the same denim used on A.P.C. jeans.
