Denim and furniture? What sounds like an unusual pairing is the basis for this functional, FM06 lounge chair and KM05 stool collaboration from Amsterdam’s Tenue de Nimes and Pastoe. The Dutch denim shop transform two single-seat steel wired pieces, models originally crafted in the 1950s by the century-old furniture manufacturer Pastoe, with the Japanese Kurabo-denim upholstery that will fade and “break-in” with use and wear. Accenting the indigo shade of the lounge chair are high quality walnut armrests and leather stitched patches. Both brands keep to the basics to highlight quality materials and superior craftsmanship of the chairs. The chairs are available now from Tenue de Nimes‘ and Pastoe‘s shops.
