Tap & Dye’s New Nero Legacy Strap

Tap & Dye’s New Nero Legacy Strap

TAP & DYE has been on our leather goods radar for quite a while now. We did a feature a while back on their Legacy Porter strap and their Camera Wrist & Neck Strap. Comparing their previous leather products to their new Legacy Strap, The leather has softened up quite significantly. It is their softest and most flexible strap to date, cut wider than our standard straps with an integrated neckpad for added comfort. Each one is hand cut from premium sides of Black Horween Chromexcel leather using a very durable 7/8 oz thickness. This accounts for just the right balance between flexibility and strength and will ensure the utmost protection for your camera body both in use and when stowed for transport in camera bags.

This strap is very pleasant. The downside is you are unable to adjust the length of the strap like the previous Legacy, but TAP & DYE seemed to lengthen it perfectly without me feeling the need to want to adjust it. This strap not only pairs well with my x100s but it looks beautiful.

About TAP & DYE
TAP & DYE is an american leather goods brand rooted in an affinity for exceptional craftsmanship and build quality. The company was founded on the simple principal of quality above all else. They specialize in crafting heritage items that are built to last. Each leather good is made in small batches in order to uphold the highest quality standards and as no two are alike, they will age beautifully and uniquely for each owner.
It is currently a small operation based out of Long Island City, NY where every good is designed and crafted by founder and owner Justin Waldinger. T&D’s products are handcrafted from extremely durable, vegetable dyed full grain cowhide leather sourced from U.S. tanneries. All hardware components are sourced from vendors and manufacturers within the U.S. Every step of the process from start to finish, including cutting, sanding, stamping, dyeing, finish etc. is machine-free, done entirely by hand using traditional leathercraft tools.
